This version is based on the original piano-version of Cheap Imitation. Basically the same questions are asked in this version: Which of the seven 'white note' modes is to be used? Beginning on which of the twelve chromatic notes? Which of the notes of given transpositions is to be used?
The intonation for the violin version is Pythagorean. The performer should remind to play without vibrato, but not apply this rule too strictly.
